We all have a story...

And mine started with the type of childhood most people dream about. I was raised by parents who experienced a lot of intergenerational trauma and made a conscious effort to raise us focused on creativity and self-expression. Although we experienced a lot of poverty, the backdrop of my childhood felt like paradise to me. 

 

I grew up on the beautiful island of the Dominican Republic and was raised with a belief system based on respect for all beings, all religious paths, and with a deep connection to the magic of Mother Nature, spirit, the ancestors, and our native traditions. I come from a lineage of powerful curanderos, mediums, healers, spirit led people who fought hard to maintain their spiritual traditions even when it was not in alignment with my country’s traditional religious beliefs.

 

My childhood nurtured an unshakable belief in myself and forged deep connections to nature and spirit. But at 12, my family immigrated to New York City. Without knowing a lick of English, I was immersed in the fast-paced, high-achieving American lifestyle. I spent the rest of my childhood trying to assimilate into this new world, constantly accomplishing new big things. Eventually, it became a normal part of my day-to-day life. As I grew, so too did that drive within me. I was always pushing myself as a wife, mother, and rising fashion executive.

 

In 2010, the unrelenting stress of always doing, and always achieving caught up with me. I ended up experiencing a massive burnout where all the internal stress that I ignored led me to be diagnosed with skin cancer and lupus - though deep down I knew I didn’t actually have these diseases. Rather, they signaled a deeper soul problem rooted in losing connection with my core self.

 

So I did the unthinkable – I took a step back at work and spent the next 3 years rediscovering my intuitive wisdom and regaining my health. I unexpectedly reconnected with the healer within. Realigning my priorities was profoundly clarifying. One truth became clear: I was here to heal myself and to help others do the same.

This process of self-discovery and connecting to the healer within, led me on a path of pursuing my calling and gaining the hands-on training, tools, and experiences to be able to be in service. Including thousands of hours of training and holding space as a CPC Holistic Transformational Coach and a 5+year shamanic apprenticeship in various healing cosmology - from the high Andes of Peru to the Mayans in Mexico, to reclaiming my ancestors' afro-caribbean medicine work. 

 

I’m here to guide you on that inward journey - back to your inner wisdom and gifts. It’s time to see yourself beyond your fears and blocks, reclaim your purpose, and live the life of passion you’ve always imagined.
